28-06-2025 English Daily covered my press briefing, I stated that no political party today seems genuinely willing to address the core issues that directly impact the lives of ordinary citizens, especially educational backwardness, rising unemployment, and deepening poverty. These are fundamental concerns that disproportionately affect marginalized communities, particularly minorities, yet they are repeatedly ignored in public discourse.
Instead of offering vision-based solutions, most political parties are engaged in fear-mongering, using the threat of a particular party to consolidate votes. This negative and diversionary politics has become a dangerous trend, where the politics of perception has replaced the politics of performance.
Even during election campaigns, when leaders are expected to present their development agendas, they deliberately avoid speaking on real issues. They neither engage with the youth on matters of jobs and education, nor do they speak to the poor about livelihood and dignity. Sadly, the genuine aspirations of the people are being sidelined for short-term electoral gains.
I emphasized that it is high time for the electorate to demand accountability. Leadership must be based not on communal polarization or empty slogans, but on a sincere commitment to uplift the socially and economically weaker sections of society.
